Updating your Professional Information

Updating your professional information is important so your colleagues can understand your expertise better. Make sure you add all relevant information.

Any information relevant to your career and role in the company can be found in the Professional tab of your My Profile page. Contents of this tab will be publicly shown in your profile. 

It's divided into the following sections: Headline, About, Experience, and Education:

Headline and About

These sections contain information on your current role and responsibilities in the company. 

You can find and edit the Title field under Headline, and the Description and Current Position fields under About. Click the SAVE CHANGES button whenever you update these fields to save your changes. 

The Title under Headline would be similar to Headline on LinkedIn and intended to market your personal brand (not your employer). Your Current Position is what your employer designates you.

The Description field is where you can put more information about your role to let other people in the organization know what you do in more detail.

Experience

This section covers your career history up to and including your Current Position. Follow the steps below to add your work experience:

  1. Click the + ADD EXPERIENCE button so its pop-up appears.
  2. Fill out all the fields on the pop-up. If you’re pulling information from your CV or other sources, you can copy that content and paste it on the textboxes to make the process quicker.
  3. Click the ADD button.   

       
     

Repeat the steps above to add more. The + ADD EXPERIENCE button will appear at the bottom of the Experience section.

Education

Information about your education can be found and updated in this section. You can add it to your profile by following the steps below:

  1. Click the + ADD EDUCATION button so its pop-up appears.
  2. Fill out the fields on the pop-up. Textboxes can be filled out by either typing or pasting content in them.
  3. Click the ADD button. 

      
     

To add more, click the + ADD EDUCATION button again. Then, repeat the steps above.

If you’d like to delete entries for either Experience or Education sections, click the trash icon for the entry that you’d like to delete. To edit, click the pencil icon.
